What We Believe
St. Paul's Episcopal Church downtown Sacramento

We are a safe and respectful community.

We support you as you learn, share and grow.

We do not question your beliefs. We invite your questions of ours. We receive your insights.

We believe God is love. God loves us and God wants us to love. We hold  Jesus’ teaching known as "the Summary of the Law" (Matthew 22:37-40) as primary:

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

We believe that faithful living means coming to a deeper understanding of God, to embrace these two commandments, and to live our lives according to them.

You are welcome at St. Paul's Church for Sunday morning services and for all activities at our site. Please check the "Ministries" page for opportunities to learn and to serve.
