It's a happy coincidence that St. Paul's joined The Sacramento Area Rainbow Faith Alliance (SARFA) during Pride Month. SARFA is a newly formed LGBTQIA+ mission that seeks to build and share a network of affirming churches and worship spaces in the Sacramento area. 

St. Paul's rector, the Rev. Rik Rasmussen, announced the church's membership in SARFA on June 7, the day before Sacramento's Pride Weekend. At that time, St. Paul's joined 9 area churches on SARFA's network map. After the Pride Parade, at least four more area faith organizations expressed interest in joining up. Any church or faith organization that also walks in active affirming love is welcome to join the SARFA network.

"It makes perfect sense for us to join in this alliance with affirming congregations," said Rev. Rik. "St. Paul's is known as a welcoming and safe space for all people wherever they are on their faith journeys.”
