This event has already occurred
The Good Friday service commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus. It is a day of fasting and special acts of discipline and self-denial. The liturgy of the day includes John's account of the Passion gospel and the solemn collects. The eucharist is not celebrated on Good Friday, but Holy Communion will be administered from the reserved sacrament at the end of the service.
