The Rev. Canon Lynell Walker
Priest in charge

Lynell Walker was called by St. Paul's Vestry in cooperation with The Rt. Rev Jerry A. Lamb and Trinity Cathedral as Priest-In-Charge effective July 15, 2004.  She graduated from Church Divinity School of the Pacific in 1996 with a
Masters of Divinity degree.  She did her field work at Trinity Cathedral, Sacramento and remained there following her graduation.

 As part of her ordination process, she worked as a group home director and social worker/case manager for high-risk youth. She was ordained to the priesthood on May 21, 1999.  Lynell also serves as Chaplain of St. Michael’s Episcopal School in Carmichael, sits on the board of Golden State Donor Services and is the mother of three sons.

The Rt. Rev. Barry L. Beisner
Bishop and Interim Rector
Bishop Beisner graduated from UC, Berkeley in 1973. He received a Masters of Divinity degree from Church Divinity School of the Pacific in 1978 and Master of Sacred Theology from General Theological Seminary in 1994. He was ordained to the deaconate in 1978 and the priesthood in 1979. Prior to his consecration as Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese of Northern California on September 30, 2006, he served as Canon to the Ordinary.

He was married in 1998 to the Rev. L. Ann Hallisey. They have six grown children.

Mark A. robinson
Music Director

Mark A. Robinson has been  the organist/choir director for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church since November 2009.   Prior to re-locating to Sacramento from San Francisco in August 2009, he has  served at various parishes in Maryland, New York, Illinois and Florida. He studied organ under Richard Wegner, renowned organist at Immanuel  Lutheran Church in Baltimore, Maryland  as well as with  the late Dr. Paul Bunjes  of Concordia Teacher’s College in River Forest, Illinois.

Mark has had a variety of different liturgical experiences in the Lutheran, Episcopalian and Protestant traditions.  He received his B.A. in Church Music/Music Education from Concordia Teacher’s College, River Forest, Illinois and a M. Ed. In Guidance/Counseling/Administration/Supervision from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida. Prior to coming to Sacramento, Mark was the Head Usher at Grace Episcopal Cathedral in San Francisco, California.  In addition to his music responsibilities at St. Paul’s, he also serves as the Principal Accompanist for the Sacramento Gay Men’s Chorus, and as a Program Manager for a state-wide non profit organization.
